POSITIONS AT IWA
OVERVIEW
The Suburban Immigrant Unity Task Force (SIUT) is a new regional coalition convened by Illinois Workers in Action to bring together community leaders, organizations, faith groups, local officials, and stakeholders across Illinois suburbs including Aurora, Naperville, Bolingbrook, Romeoville, Joliet, and more.
Our goal is to strengthen collaboration, communication, and preparedness among communities most impacted by immigration enforcement, discrimination, and systemic inequities.
SIUT will serve as a space for coordination, advocacy, and rapid response, ensuring that our communities in our region have access to accurate information and legal support.
WHO CAN JOIN?
The Suburban Immigrant Unity Taskforce is open to:

Non-profit and community based organizations

Faith and spiritual leaders

School districts and social service representatives
-
Small business owners, workers, and advocate

Local elected officials and public agencies

Community members committed to immigrant justice
